Project Operations Manager - Drive Systems
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be fully responsible for the successful execution of systems in the areas of metals industry, renewable energy, or oil and gas. This will also include ensuring that targets relating to deadlines, costs, and other specific goals are met. Additionally, your duties will encompass coordination of different experts in this phase, reporting, content, scope and change management, and issues such as project-related risks, business opportunities and procurement.The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybridThis role contributes to the Drive Systems projects within our Product Group Packaging in the Motion business area. Main stakeholders are project teams, customers, and internal business partners.You will be mainly accountable for:•Taking ownership of commercial and technical responsibilities for projects, including structuring, planning, budgeting, and overseeing execution until the end of the warranty period, while meeting contractual and commercial targets (revenue, cash flow, NWC, margins).•Leading and coordinating a global, largely virtual project team comprising suppliers, engineering, and production members to ensure project success.•Implementing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality provisions while monitoring projects and providing detailed project reporting.•Optimizing processes and resources through local organization collaboration and contributing to internal improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methods.
Qualifications for the role
- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration, combined with technical skills and at least two years of experience in managing complex customer projects.
- You demonstrate expertise in drives, electrical motors, and transformers, with experience overseeing system-supply projects involving these components.
- You are qualified in project management methodologies such as IPMA, PMP, or ABB-certified processes, which would be an advantage.
- You are passionate about customer focus, leadership, and embracing challenges while taking the initiative to improve the working environment in alignment with business area strategies.
- You are adept at managing a global network of suppliers and navigating complex organizational structures, with strong contract and claim management knowledge.
- You are fluent in English, with additional languages-especially German-being a significant asset.
- You excel in using modern tools such as Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and MS Project to drive results with advanced analytical and communication skills.
