Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee and lead the execution of service and system projects to our customers in Aluminum, Hydrogen, Electrowinning , Power Quality solutions, Electrical Arc Furnaces and Green Steel industries worldwide, working together with highly motivated and experienced international team. Reporting to the Head of Project Management High Power Rectifiers (HPR, with current up to 120kA and voltage up to 2000V), you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the project. The project ranges various from small emergency and maintenance projects, rapid response agreements (RRA), control upgrades up to medium sized rectifier projects. *Workplace will be Baden (City) as of March 2025.Your main responsibilities will be:• Project Management: Lead and execute small to medium-sized projects (USD 100k-4M) globally, from contract signing to on-site completion, including stakeholder coordination and emergency case handling.• Customer Support: Oversee maintenance contracts and rapid response agreements, act as the primary customer contact, and collaborate with sales managers on quotations and service concepts.• Monitoring and Compliance: Ensure cost control, resource efficiency, and adherence to HSE standards; manage risks, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with deliverables.• Global Readiness: Analyze project risks, share lessons learned, and travel internationally (approx. 5% of work hours) for project assignments.
Qualifications for the role
- Solid degree in a technical specialization or vocational training (e.g. electrician, electrical engineer, automation engineer) with corresponding further training at HF or FH level (or equivalent).
- Experience with technical background in the field of medium-voltage and/or low-voltage switchgear, High Power Rectifiers experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated initial experience in project management or field service, including managing project scope, costs, schedules, and vendors/subcontractors/factories.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills, a customer-focused mindset and a pro-active professional "can-do" attitude.
- Fluency in English & German (min. B2 level). Any additional language is an asset.
- Experience in ERP (SAP), technical documentation and material-management know-how is a real benefit.
