This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

You will be responsible for sales of electrification, low voltage, and control products in the automation and machine manufacturing segment for the Swiss OEM market, ensuring growth in sales volumes and margins. Reporting to the Head of Sales OEM Electrification, you will leverage your expertise to build lasting customer relationships through outstanding service.The work model for the role is: #hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:• Drive sales within existing accounts in your region, identify and acquire new customers. •Collaborate with marketing, technical support, and sales teams to prepare sales plans, identify new market opportunities, and ensure technical and financial accuracy. •Use your knowledge of customers' applications and ABB's solutions to match their needs while exploring opportunities in digitalization, Industry 4.0, and energy efficiency. •Work closely with ABB distribution partners to enhance the customer journey and maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system (Salesforce). •Continuously expand your technical expertise in ABB products, monitor market trends, and apply diverse sales techniques (e.g., value-based selling) to drive business success.

Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or a related commercial field.
  • Strong technical expertise in low voltage control products, with a solid understanding of the Swiss industry and automation market.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems; experience with order development tools (ERP) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, paired with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in German and English; French is an advantage.
  • Technical qualification, preferably a bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Valid Swiss driver's license and work authorization in Switzerland.
